(Nettles - the VillageNet bear)

During the Summer term 1999 we held a competition for Primary School Children from 4 to 11 years of age to draw a Beanie Baby(®Ty inc). All 450 entries were to a very high standard, and were very difficult to judge. However we made the decisions, and one of the winners created a VillageNet beanie bear drawing for us. We felt this was an such a brilliant idea, that with the young ladies permission, we have adopted Nettles as our mascot.
