( Lydd Museum - a center for Local Romney Marsh History )
Lydd museum is accomodated in the Old Fire Station,
which is in Queens Road.
The museum houses a number of very fine horse drawn
vehicles, including an 1890 Merryweather Fire Engine,
a 1900 Horse bus and a beach cart from Dungeness.
Other local artifacts and information regarding the
Lydd and Dungeness area is also on display.
The museum also organises walking tours of Lydd on
the first Saturday in the month from May to October,

Admission is free but donations are welcome.

The museum is open from 2:30pm until 5:00pm Saturdays and
Sundays from Easter Bank Holiday until the end of October.
During school summer holidays the museum is open every day.
