Robertsbridge Aviation Museum


A wide collection of Aircraft Related Items .

Robertsbridge Aviation Museum was founded in 1964, and includes exhibits covering civil and military aviation past and present.

Many of the items on display are of local origin, and come from the sea, (often trawled up by fishermen), digs (always under the strict adherence to guidelines and avoiding sensitive sites), and objects donated by the public.

A number cockpit sections are in the collection, including English Electric Lightning F3(XP701), Meteor T7(WA630) and Tiger Moth(G-AIVW). There are a large number of aircraft engines in the collection, including Merlin, Jumo, Conway, Derwent and many others, a total of 28.

On a smaller scale, there are uniforms, maps, photographs, documents radios and many components from a great many aircraft and associated items.

The Museum also has a great number, over 5000 original photographs of many different aircraft.
