Kilndown (Kilndown Kent - (Charcoal for the Furnace) - an English Village (UK))

Kilndown is a small village in Kent near to the East Sussex border in Southern England. The name is derived from the charcoal kilns and the ridge(down) it lies on, and supplied charcoal for the iron furnace at nearby Bedgebury Estate.
