Bramley and Leek Bake

This recipe was supplied by Mrs Brenda Parsons
Ingredients 2 lb Leeks - sliced.
2 Bramley apples.
Garlic.
Pepper and salt.
6oz grated cheese.
8 fluid ozs milk + 1 teaspoon mustard.
10 fluid ozs cream.
3 lb potatoes.
 

Equipment 1 Frying Pan
1 Cooking Dish  

Method 1. Slice the Leeks, Apples and chop the garlic.
2. In a Frying Pan, fry the leeks, then the sliced apples, and finally the garlic.
3. Add seasoning.
4. Put in the dish, and cover with grated cheese.
5. Lay very thinly sliced potatoes on top.
6. Pour the cream and milk onto the potatoes.
7. Bake for 45 - 60 mins (until potato is cooked) Gas Mark 6.  

This is a nice and unusual vegetarian dish.
