No bake Choc n'biccy Cake
Have you noticed how children will refuse to eat broken biscuits ?! Here is a nice recipe to use them up, and get them eaten !!
This is one of Wendy's Recipes
Ingredients 8 oz (220g) digestive, or other plain biscuits - coarsley crushed
4 oz (110g) butter or margerine
4 oz (110g) cooking chocolate - broken into pieces
4 tablespoons (60ml) golden syrup
2 oz (55g) shredded coconut, or chopped nuts
2 oz (55g) glace cherries, quartered
2 oz (55g) sultanas.

Equipment [Equipment]

Method 1. Melt the chocolate in a bowl, (either over a saucepan of hot water, or I use the microwave).
2. Add the butter/marg. and the syrup, heat gently until everything has melted, and stir well.
3. Remove from heat. Add the biscuits, coconut/nuts, cherries and sultanas, and mix well.
4. Line a 7" (18cm) square tin with greaseproof paper. Pour in the mixture, spread evenly and press down firmly.
5. Place in fridge for about 3 hours.
6. Turn out and cut into portions.

Keep chilled in warm weather
