Sweet and Sour Pork
(Serves 4 unless your guests are very hungry)
This is one of Wendy's Recipes
Ingredients tablespoons light soy sauce
2 tablespoons dry white wine
2 cloves of garlic, crushed
1” piece of root ginger, finely grated
1lb pork fillet cut into 1” cubes
1 tablespoon cornflour
2 tablespoons rice vinegar ( or cider vinegar)
2 tablespoons tomato sauce
3 tablespoons clear honey
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 red pepper-seeded and diced
1 yellow pepper-seeded and diced
6oz mange tout peas-topped and tailed  

Equipment  

Method Combine the soy sauce, white wine, garlic and root ginger. Add the pork, cover and marinade for 2 hours.
2). Drain the pork using a slotted spoon, or a sieve, and reserve the marinade.
3).Stir the cornflour, rice vinegar, tomato sauce and honey into the reserved marinade.
4).Heat one tablespoon of oil in a frying pan or wok. Add the pork and stir-fry over a high heat for 5 minutes. Remove pork from the pan with a slotted spoon.
5). Heat the remaining oil in the pan. Add the peppers and the mange tout peas. Stir-fry over a high heat for 2 minutes
6). Add the marinade mixture to the pan and stir until thickened. Return pork to pan and cook for a further minute, stirring.  

Serve with rice or noodles.
A deliciously simple dessert for a dinner party.
