here for the Great Dixter Web Site.

Farm Museum
The museum houses a collection of antique and vintage farm tools, implements, barn and field machinery, carts, waggons, trade and private horse-drawn vehicles and equipment associated with them.
It tells of a Sussex countryside in an age when farming was labour intensive depending on ox, horse and oil for motive power. The collection numbers over 4000 items, of which more than 2000 are on display at any time.

Nature Trail & Woodland Walk
Adjacent to the Sussex Farm Museum and spread over several hundred acres of Horam Manor Farm is the Horam Nature Trail affording the opportunity to wander a variety of planned paths, exploring unspoilt countryside. Meandering beside streams through woodlands and along open fields provides an absorbing insight into the rythm or rural life.

Horam Manor Farm is also going to be the site of a unique reproduction of a Wealden Iron foundry from the 16th century.
Many thanks to the Wealden Iron Trust

Open from Easter to the end of October
