The Seaford Museum of Local History is located in the most westerly
of the Martello towers which were built as a defence against Napoleon
in the early 1800's .
The tower has its original cannon on the roof, which is open during the
summer weather permitting.
Displays include shops, tableaux and fascinating collections of material,
from pre-historic times with flints and fossils to the present day.
There is a General Store, Dressmakers Parlor, Chemist, Photographer,
Ironmonger and Toy Shops.
Other collections include radios,gramaphones,televisions and early computers.
There is much more to see, just pop in when you are in Seaford.

Opening times:
The museum is open from Sundays and public holidays throughout the year
with the exception of Christmas day, from 11am till about 4.00pm but are
closed lunchtime.
From Easter to mid October the museum is also open on Wednesday and Saturday
afternoons from 2.30p.m.to 4.30pm
