'Ecclesbourne Glen the easy way' said the program for the 2nd of January! Leader Honey was ill - didn't matter - Colin and David took over, although we wern't at all sure of 'the easy way'. Anyway, with the sun shining and the sea sparkling, what did a few hills matter. It was a lovely way to start the New Year, followed by Bernard and Lindsay's Battle / Sedlescombe circular the following week.

Mary's Battle / Catsfield circular was very popular - some 25 people joined, and there was another large group to accompany Derek and Moira the following week when Herstmonceux was the destination. It gave us 'old hands' great joy to see and hear the pleasure of newcomers to Herstmonceux Castle coming across the first view of it.
