Circle dancing is based on the tradition of village dancing found in most parts of the world. Many of the songs and dances are old and celebrate the seasons of the year and the cycles of life (and were collected in the country of origin). New dances to modern music are being brought into the repertoire (and no doubt in time some of them will become traditional)

Circle dancing is a social activity, is not competitive, and anyone can join in, young and old, men and women and it is not necessary to bring a partner. Just come along in flat shoes and enjoy the music and the company, and you will find it is good for your health and your happiness.
