7. Glottenham Moat

This walk is found on the Ordnance Survey 1:25000 Sheet TQ 62/72 entitled Robertsbridge (OS may have updated) and walkers are advised to have a copy with them on the walk.

Location :- Around Robertsbridge
Between the villages of Brightling, Mountfield and Robertsbridge
Start :- Grid Ref 718217
Distance :- Approx distance - 2 miles
Route :- Outward - Take the path left off the Darwell Road just east of Park Pale.

Continue to Glottenham Farm.

Go towards Robertsbridge until crossing stream and look for Special County Council Track Information on the left.

Turn left and follow this special path west then south back towards Moat.

Return - Along outward track back to start.
Look out for :- Special County Council Track Information, Old Castle Moat, ostriches at Glottenham Farm and good views of Darwell Reservoir on latter stages of return leg.

Please remember the Country Code and respect for land owners when walking and ensure you have parked your car where it will not be a hazard to other road users.
