The Rother Valley (between Witherenden Bridge and Etchingham)
Near the village of Stonegate

Approx distance - 3.7 miles
Round walk - Take footpath north-east from Stonegate Station car
park past Hammerden to Church Wood Shaws, turn south past ponds
towards railway but turn east before line in the direction of
After exiting the east side of the wood proceed to footpath
crossroads and turn south towards Burwash .
Cross the railway and turn right (west) onto the bridalway
which will take you past Wreckery Bridge back to another
railway crossing Hammerden and the station. (Take care both
railway crossings are tricky.)
Look out for :-
Wildlife at the ponds, deer in Upper Collingtons woodland.
